You could try specifying one of the R/W replica servers in the Novell Client login info. Advanced, I think. Also, if you right click on the red N in the lower right and choose Novell Client Properties, there can be interesting settings there.
I'd wager when your Master is down, so is your DA and clients have no clue where to look. Maybe a secondary DA is warranted as well.

Hey all, we have 4 servers with replicas. Each server holds all of the partitions of which there are 4 (root, faculty/staff, student, security). All are NW6.5sp7 with EDIR8.8.2. My problem is when the server with the master is down you can't login or find the tree when you search for it. I'm a tad confused. Shouldn't you be able to still login and find the tree even though the master is down.?? I just confirmed this with a little test. I shut down the server with the master and sure enough I could not login or search/find our tree. Is there a setting I'm missing?? This can't possibly be by design!! What good is it to have 4 replicas when you can't login when the server with the master is down!! I thought EDIR 8.8.2 was suppose to solve an issue with this type of scenario. Any Ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.
-Hans
