Also, does anyone know if OES2 / Linux use all available RAM for disk cache like NetWare? I know there's a law of diminishing returns, but comparatively, RAM is so cheap these days, that we are spec'ing out a fileserver that will house terabytes of image files with 16 GB RAM, and want to know if it makes sense to do so.

We are getting ready to install our first OES2 / Linux server and have been told that Identity Manager starter edition or starter pack is part of the OES2 licensing. I have searched the Novell website for Identity Manager Starter and come up empty. The Novell sales rep told me that the Identity Manager Starter edition is included on the OES2 media, but I don't see any reference to it in the OES2 doc.
Can anyone shed light on where to find info on Identity Manager Starter Pack?
Also our tree is currently at 8.7.3.9. A Novell tech recommended upgrading eDirectory to 8.8 first. What should I know before I perform the upgrade, and what's the preferred method--just check the 8.8 box in the install screen?
Thank you,
